 We have a number of high profile events over the next few months we look recruit and train talent directly from this pool into our professional team – join up if you want a chance to be part of the dream team. The 12 week course is designed to train and develop your artistic talents, with leading choreographers Naz Choudhury and Leena Patel the course will provide you skills in a variety of dance styles including, modern bollywood, bhangra, Indian classical, garba, street dance, contemporary and salsa. You will be required to rehearse the routines in your own time to help achieve a perfect performance by the end of the course.

Currently touring the UK, MI21 has been a massive hit, selling out in every city from Bristol to Edinburgh, and is to perform its grand finale at the prestigious Roundhouse. Attracting a culturally and socially diverse audience, critics, fans of the original film and everyone in between have all raved about MI21 and praised its boldness to successfully rework one of India’s most beloved films.

A stunning adaptation of the 1957 Oscar-nominated classic Mother India, MI21 remixes, re-edits and rescores the original 3-hour epic into a 45-minute silent film, over which top turntablist, Tigerstyle has composed a contemporary electronic and strings based score to convey the myriad of actions and emotions expressed on-screen. Tigerstyle is accompanied by Matt Constantine on the keyboards and electric cello and David Shaw on the drums, with Josh Ford as MI21’s visual editor.

A pioneer of contemporary culture, the Roundhouse continually pushes boundaries, much like Kala Phool, the arts organisation that produced MI21.

Essence

After the huge success of blockbusters such as Dhamaka at Royal Albert Hall and the Essence Tour, we now proudly bring back our masterpiece: Project Essence 3. This project will take place over six months, incorporating various mainstream events and as a finale we will stage Essence – The Bollywood Dance Spectacular.

• Rehearsals will take place on some evenings and weekends and will pick up nearer to each section of the project. Please note that some of the sections are paid and some are promotional based on how well you do in the project. Only in the musical production in March will all the artists perform; numbers may go up and down in the other sections so it will be competitive every step of the way.

Project Essence is a journey which builds an elite team of dancers alongside some of the finest specialists in the Arts and Entertainment sector. After the success of the previous projects, this is the third and final part of Essence.

Over the previous 2 projects, members of Essence have ranged from students to people in full-time work. The project will build itself into your lifestyle but you also will need to put in full commitment when necessary – if you cannot, please do not apply.

DANCERS:
Audition at 11am
You will be required to pick up 2 routines and demonstrate versatility; the production consists of Bollywood, Latin, Urban, Contemporary and Classical styles. You will also have the opportunity to show us what you can do, whether it’s tricks or your own routine.

ACTORS:

Demonstrate a sketch or improvisation. If you would like to take a lead role you will need dance ability. Character profiles will soon be available on the Flex FX website.

*Ideal candidates will need to have the ability of a dancer, the expressions of an actor and the physique of a model. All ethnicities welcome.

The Truth is a new rapper based in West London who plans to add a new dimension to the thriving British Asian rap scene.
