Having given us chart-topping hits like ‘Aashiq’, ‘Jaan Panjabi’, ‘Aaj Me Peeni’ and ‘Nain Preeto De’, PBN aims to continue the musical pace in 2010 with his much-anticipated forthcoming release.

A few weeks ago Bhangra producer PBN announced that he has been working on his next album and after a campaign on Facebook, where PBN invited his fans to help him name his album, the title can be revealed.

The hitmaker’s new album will be fittingly titled ‘Crowd Pleaser’ and is due for release at the end of April on Limitless Records. Following the success of his previous releases, his huge fanbase and tours stretching from Canada to Australia, PBN has proven that his music definitely pleases crowds around the world. With an ‘A list’ line up, which may possibly be the biggest heard on a Bhangra album, this release is set to be true to its title – a ‘Crowd Pleaser’.

The first track to be taken from the album will be a collaboration with The Dhol Foundation. They will be providing their world famous dhol beats to a huge party track and featuring in the video which is being filmed later this month and will be hitting screens in March.

Featuring 8 tracks, PBN is currently putting finishing touches to the forthcoming release. With an amazing line up and the production talents of PBN, ‘Crowd Pleaser’ is shaping up to be another huge album like ‘Homegrown’ which has gained PBN a ‘Best Producer’ nomination at this year’s UK Asian Music Awards.

Imran Khan

Following on from the runaway success of his new album, Unforgettable, Imran Khan has embarked on a worldwide tour to take his music directly to his fans across the globe, and last week his tour took him to New York.

The Punjabi singer played to a packed out crowd, with many people queuing for hours to gain entry to the venue to catch the exclusive performance.

Tiger Jatt, provided support for the gig along with desi rapper Raja Wilco who performed his hits Ni Soniye and Blind Folded.

hosted by top MC’s who kept the audience entertained until the arrival of Imran Khan at 2am.

Rai-KALSI is the Vocalist and Lyricist behind this Genius album. The vocals are chilling with the outstanding lyrics all composed by the man, Rai-KALSIhimself.

Music is in his blood; his father was a non-professional singer and sang as a hobby with a Do-Tara (Tumba). His brother played Algozey, which inspired Rai-KALSI to take music further. As a teenager his ear was drawn to Kuldeep Manak followed by Gurdas Maan.

Rai-KALSI was approached by a Qawali group as a second level vocalist and it was not long before he took the lead and toured all over India. Whilst playing with the Qawali band Rai-KALSI became a big fan of Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Ji.

Taking the vocals further he started taking lessons with a classically trained Vocal coach; Ustaad Barkat Sidhu (No 1 Sufi singer in Punjab). Soon, Rai-KALSI took interest in listening and replicating ghazals, he experimented vocally with different styles.

Being a student of language and Literature he had a passion for writing scriptures; this is where his lyric writing began and resulted in him writing songs for Sukshinder Shinda, Madan Maddi, Manjeet Pappu, Late Kaka Bhaniawala, Labh Janjua and for himself.
