Held at The Hub in Glasgow’s Digital Media Quarter, the event was attended by the founder of the awards Kanya King who addressed the gathered audience who were there to attend a debate, hosted by former NME editor and head of programmes (Nations and Regions) for Channel 4, Stuart Cosgrove.

 To celebrate the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards being held in Glasgow, an event for Students and young Scots to encourage them to get more involved with music and the creative industry.

Also on hand to address the audience was Scott Taylor, chief executive of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and Lena Wilson, chief operation officer for Scottish Enterprise. Glasgow bhangra dancers Punjabi No 1 also performed ahead of the debate and attended a photo call with King.
