Which Tweezer?

Tweezers.

Tweezer’s are good for getting those small tiny hairs out from anywhere on the body.

Did you know?

The tweezers utilized in contemporary times are inspired by tools and pincers used in bygone eras for such matters as crafts and cooking.

Art work from ancient times depicts cave dwellers and pre-dynastic Egyptians using tweezer-like apparatuses. Similar artifacts that have been discovered from Mesopotamia and India date back to 3000 BC. Attempts have been made to make tweezers over, like the time electric tweezers were introduced into the market to supposedly remove hair permanently, but the most lasting type of tweezers remain the ones that resemble miniature tongs and require nothing but the fingers of the user to operate them.

The Benefits?

Having a pair of tweezers handy guarantees that you will be able to adjust the shape of your brows when it is most convenient. Even if you do not regularly set aside the time to maintain your eyebrows, if you find yourself unexpectedly with some downtime on a day that would have been typically busy, you can always head off to the privacy of your car or the ladies room. Tweezing the strays from beneath and in between your brow line brightens up not only your eye area, but the rest of your face as well.

So which one should i buy?

Thin Tip: Good for grasping small, fine hairs, and plucking ingrown hair.
Slanted Tip: Gives maximum control.
Square Tip: Best used for removing coarse hairs or several hairs at a time.

Best time to Tweeze?

DesiMag: Tweeze immediately after showering or apply a hot washcloth to loosen hair follicles. This allows you to tweeze with less pain.

DesiMag:: Hold a pencil vertically along the side of the nose. Eyebrow should start at the outside edge of the pencil.

Hint: Leaving a bit more space between your eye and eyebrows – this will widen close-set eyes.

DesiMag: Hold pencil to outside of eye. This is where the eyebrow of a bombshell should end.

DesiMag: Smooth brows with a little moisturizer to help hairs slide out – Some people like to add some talc on their brows to see the dark hairs more.

DesiMag: Brush brows up to find a natural arch.

DesiMag: Draw in the desired shape beforehand with a soft eye shadow pencil – This way you can follow the line rather then guessing.

Hint: Don’t use an eyeliner pencil. It will cause you to pluck too much plus its too dark.

DesiMag: Tweeze under the brow first, plucking in the direction of the growth. Hint: If your plucking becomes too painful, apply a little Anbesol (yes, that pain reliever for teeth also numbs the brows)

DesiMag: Using an eyelash comb, comb brows upwards and trim any hairs that extend beyond the natural top or brow bone.

DesiMag: After tweezing, soothe the area with cool, wet tea bags.

Result – Glamorous lashes!
